VENICE.- Thanks to the work of the Carabinieri, an oil on canvas attributed to Pietro Bellotti, taken illegally 35 years ago from Castello Cini Monselice was recovered. After the theft, the painting exchanged hands several times and ended up "belonging" to a French collector who had tried to put it on sale at the Artcurial auction house in Paris in 2009.
